Make Videos to Make a Difference

Hello, my friend.

I have fallen in love with making videos. It’s the last thing I expected, being a card-carrying introvert who froze up when anyone asked, “So, what do you do?”

The turning point came when I quit trying to make marketing videos – yuck! – and focused on sharing inspiration, insight, and information.

Making these videos filled me with so much love, it started to outweigh my fears of being seen… of looking old or foolish … of being judged an imposter. Shining my light made those concerns fade away.

These are some of the reasons why making videos gives me so much joy:

My soul loves to express itself. I adore writing, but a certain magic happens when I say the words aloud. The spoken word has its own kind of power.

I feel deeply happy after each video shoot because I feel connected with every person who will ever watch that video and be helped by it in some way.

My confidence has grown because I’m doing something that seemed really hard – and it’s actually easier (and way more fun) than I thought.

I’ve gotten clearer about my message. Sometimes I don’t know what I know about a topic until I say it out loud. Then I hone my script until the words sound true to me.

Which is why I can now walk into a social or business event and when someone asks, “So, what do you do?” I can respond right away with, “I help people develop the confidence they need to succeed.”

Creating videos has turned out to be a wonderful tool for personal and professional development.

It feels like I’m living the spirit of one of my favorite quotes from business philosopher Jim Rohn:

“Avoid doing things for what you’ll get out of them. Do them for who you become.”

By now, I’ve created a library of more than 100 videos on my YouTube channel. People who go there find inspiring stories, fresh perspectives on perplexing problems, spiritual yet practical meditations, and tips for heart-centered entrepreneurs.

I look forward to making many more such videos.

Yes, they’re bringing me more clients … more visibility … more book sales … more invitations to speak on shows and podcasts.

Those are great benefits, but they are not the reason why I make videos.

I make them because I love doing something that makes a difference in the here and now.

If one person breathes easier because of something I’ve said on a video – well, that’s what really matters to me.

If that sounds like something you would like to do, I’d be honored to help you.

Moira takes the mystery out of making videos.

She's the best teacher you could ever want!

How You'll Grow

Attract ideal clients who adore you

Making videos helps you to get clear about what your message is and who you love to work with, so you can create a successful, soul-satisfying business.

Build up your authority in your field

The more videos you put out, the more you are perceived as an expert in your field - which can lead to golden opportunities to help others on a large scale.

Be a force for good in the world

Whether you want to build an empire or run a successful solo business, your videos can make a difference in people's lives as you create memorable messages.

Set yourself up for future success

In the sacred space of our training sessions, you can peacefully release the fears that hold you back, so you can take inspired action with confidence and joy.

How can you tell if this training is right for you?

This program is for you if…

  • You’re interested in making videos, but technology makes your head hurt. In this program, I will take you by the hand and walk you through the entire process, with how-to handouts to guide you every step of the way.
  • You’re interested in making videos, but you feel shy about putting yourself out there. I’ve been there, and I can help you with that if you’re willing.
  • You’re interested in making videos, but you don’t know what to say. Let me show you simple ways to organize your thoughts into short yet meaningful messages that can make a difference.
  • It’s easier for you to show what you do instead of explaining it. The beauty of video is that you can show instead of tell. You can explain as much, or as little, as you want.
  • It’s easier for you to talk about what you do instead of writing about it. With video, you don’t have to be a writer to share your ideas, insights, stories, and solutions with people you can help.
  • You want the ideas in your blog, book, or newsletter to reach a wider audience. YouTube has more than 2 billion viewers downloading more than a billion hours of video every day. Is that a wide enough audience for you?
  • You work in a field where people need to know, like, and trust you before they hire you. How cool would it be to let people see you, hear you, and decide if they want to work with you – without your having to go through strategy sessions or awkward auditions?
  • You want to help more people than you’re able to reach right now. Yes, you’re only one person, but you can have a global impact through the magic of video. Studies show that at least 70% of us primarily take in information through visual communication, which means you can help thousands of people who will not, or cannot, read your book, blog, or newsletter. (Brilliant as your writing is, some people will never see it. I know it's incredible, but true.)

This program is not for you if …

  • You’re a private person and you want to keep it that way. That’s your privilege, and I respect it.
  • You prefer to help people in other ways. Fair enough.
  • You have all the business you can handle. Congratulations!
  • You want to share your ideas and expertise only with paying customers. You’ve worked hard to gain your knowledge and know-how, so you get to decide how and with whom you share it.
  • You want to become a YouTube star overnight. It could happen, but it's not the purpose of this program.
  • You want a guaranteed-to-make-money video marketing program. Of course, I want you to make money, but sales videos are outside the scope of this program.

Cool stuff we'll do together

Session 1: Deepen Your Connection to Love

This session goes to the heart of what’s been holding you back from making videos.

It’s what makes this video course different from every other training out there.

This session addresses the emotional and mental aspects of making videos – or NOT making them.

We use a unique meditation to deepen your connection to your love of helping others and expressing your empowering messages -- and expand that love so it outweighs the fears that keep you from helping others through videos.

One of the most magical things about this session is that the more you watch or listen to the video replay, the more insights and breakthroughs you will experience.

Session 2: Let's Get Organized

In Session 2, we focus on organizing your videos, your YouTube channel -- and your mind.

Why talk about how to organize videos if you haven't made any yet? It's like deciding you want to start journaling. The first thing you do is find a journal that's beautiful and a writing instrument that feels good in your hand. You're creating a lovely home for your thoughts as they come to you. This session is the video version of that process.

=== It's good to get in the habit of organizing your videos early on, so it's always easy for you to locate your videos on your computer, instead of wasting time hunting for them.

=== It pays to organize your YouTube channel early on, so it's always easy for you to post, and for your viewers to find, videos by topic, date, theme, or whatever organizing principle works for you.

=== It's powerful to get into the habit of thinking, "That would make a great video!" and keeping track of your ideas so you can always find inspiration for sharing your message and/or marketing your services, products, books, etc.

Your creative activities in this session include writing an enticing channel description and a warmly inviting “Welcome to My Channel” script, to get people excited about watching your videos.

Your techie activities include learning how to organize your videos as you make them, set up your channel, and create playlists, so people can easily find your messages and YouTube can spotlight your work, translating into greater visibility for your videos and your business.

Session 3: Script and Shoot Your Videos

If one of your biggest challenges around making videos has been figuring out what to say and how to say it, here's the solution: write a script.

Not sure how?

In this session, you will receive tips and templates for writing brief yet brilliant scripts that leave your viewers wanting more.

Our creative activities include brainstorming for ideas that help you get your message across in 2- to 3-minute videos, and how to deliver your information on camera with confidence and authority.

You're welcome to share about content you already have that can be repurposed for binge-able video content you can shoot and upload as soon as you're ready.

Our techie activities involve a walk-through of your guidelines and templates for writing scripts, with plenty of pro tips along the way.

Session 4: Build and Engage Your Audience

Making videos is just one part of video marketing and messaging.

You also need to get your videos in front of people, where they can make a difference, showcase your expertise, attract clients, partners, producers – and more.

Let me show you some ways to build and engage your audience, in our fourth and final session.

Our creative activities include using Canva to create templates for your personal YouTube thumbnails to make each video you create pop. Thumbnails make your videos more eye-catching to potential viewers, establish your personal visual brand, and give your videos a professional look that gives you added credibility.

Our techie activities involve walking you through the steps to upload and promote your videos on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Medium. When you upload videos onto a specific social media platform, its algorithms will automatically promote your expertise to a wider audience. Let's get your call to action in front of potential clients, media producers, and people who need to hear your message.

"As a total beginner, this training covered all the bases for me. It was so inspiring and powerful!"
